Maryam Alshamsi is an Emirati artist born and based in Dubai, who has passionately explored art from a young age. She creates intricately detailed illustrations using both traditional and digital methods, with a preference for working with pen and ink. The artist draws inspiration from her natural environment, textures, colors and daily conversations to create her intricate drawings.

Alshamsi received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Zayed University, majoring in Visual Arts and minoring in Curatorial Practices in 2018. She further expanded her knowledge by earning a Master of Science in Future Foresight and Planning from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2023.
